Thumbs up

I was there, had a good laugh even though my times were awful The car was stuttering and misfireing, I think the new exhaust is causing some problems, Im aiming to get them sorted over the next few weeks then I will be back for more!

Bloody good day though, track surface was a little slippy for my liking, on the first couple of runs I was getting wheelspin in 5th gear , dried out for the next few runs, was having to launch in 2nd gear in a vain attempt to get the power down. Was all I could do just to keep the car in a straight line

Great laugh! Come give me a shout next time, I have no idea what anyone looks like!

Hi Mike, it makes all the right noises

14dead was my best but the car was well off par, I should have been crossing the line at about 120ish, instead was getting 105..... think I have found the problem, so will be back for a rematch very soon!

Saw you pull a 12.9, very impressive (git )

Expensive day then eh Mike, I dont think the problem with my car is too serious.

Getting so much wheelspin there though, was launching in 2nd gear and the car didnt stop squirming until I hit 5th gear and crossed the line Thats with sticky race rubber too

guys, i always get confussed with times, top speeds,
if you ran a 14s @100 mph and say 14.5 @105 mph this is what i dont understand, you would think quicker time = higher mph, can some one enlighten me
cheers, Dug.

i could have a worse start then you, you could be half way up the strip at 8 seconds i could be a quarter of the way up, if i finished just say .2 of a second behind you i would be going faster over the line as i caught up with you and i would have had to of been going faster to catch up

think thats how it works lol

S13DUG;

Reason for the apparent speed/time variation anomaly is because when time is lost, most time lost is USUALLY at the start/take off point and not at the finish. A second lost at the slower start speeds means cars are still only a short distance apart. However, at the end of the run with 100+ mph showing, that second represents a much longer distance .......
