Does anyone know why the STi mudflaps are so expensive and where a cheap version is available from?

I bought a set for my STI7 from a chaps on here who was churning out replica STI sets.

£150 for 4 mudflap, including all fittings, instructions & STI logos.

Look just like the genuine STI ones except they don't cost £350!

I'm pretty sure his name is Scott, but someone else may remember, or he may even read this.

Try doing a search, but there definately was a huge thread in this section about mudflaps.

Megabusa is sold out, and doesnt know when he can get anymore. I just ordered a set of Sparco ones for £30 from Jap innovations.

They only do them in blue, red or white. On my black Sti7 i went for blue, hope it doesnt look too loud.

I'll post later with how they look.

Why not go for the smaller, neater and cheaper small mudflaps? You can get the Prodrive ones for £20 from any dealer, the MTR ones from MTR for £10 or make them yourself for about £1.50 (there was a how to make them thread just the other day)

IMHO, the small ones look much better too and do a good job....

BL - Flaps should arrive monday 24/2, I dont think they are copies but I'll post again when they arrive. I expect them to have "sparco" written acros the bottom of them, based on other ones I've seen.
I've given up on copy Sti ones, but I gather these are big flaps, which is what I need given the state of the roads round Aberdeen.

As per other thread Demon Tweeks Motorsport catalogue have about six different sets in it, ranging from £10 to full Impreza spec at £200. Couldn't find them on their web site though.

Performance Subaru price is £290 + Vat for a set of 4 .. er no thanks! How they can justify that price is beyond me.
