Question

I've got to post 4 wheels with tyres (fitted) to Norfolk from Hampshire, each wheel&tyre weighs 20kg (so total of 80kg), anyone know how much this should cost ? who to ship with, and the best way to send, 4x20kg, 2x40kg, 1x80kg,
Any advice appreciated.

Hi,

I recently sent a set of wheels & tyres from Yorkshire to Kent with a local courier (19.8kgs each ). Cost me about £39 for next day delivery.

If I were you I would wrap them individually as each wheel and tyre are quite bulky & heavy. I just wrapped the spokes in cardboard & bubble wrap to protect them then wrapped the whole package in a couple of bin bags then used LOADS of parcel tape to ensure they stayed wrapped I wouldn't have fancied being the bloke who openend them though lol. They turned up fine with no damage too.

HTH

Cool

Cost between £25 & £40

If you want to move 'em, give me a ring 07818 413 513

Currently working with the APC Overnight Parcels Network (well a company that forms part of that network)

Generally pretty good & a few thumbs up from people on here (daresay there's a thumbs down as well!)

Puff,
Can you give me an exact price for the four, from Farnborough Hants to Kings Lynn Norfolk, best price so far is £37.80 (Parcelflash), I can then let the guy buying thme know, who can then send me a cheque and I can then arrange moving them. All very complicated, (why he can't just drive down and get em ?)
Thanks mate.

Max 20KG each & based on 4 wheels

£32.50 inc VAT

Next day delivery

07818 413 513

It'll cost more than £32.50 to drive down to collect 'em!

Puff,
Top man, I'll let the guy know, and as soon as I've got the cheque from him I'll give you a call and arrange to get them shipped.
Thanks again mate, I'll be in touch.

I've just enquired the same, and the cheapest route was too do 2+2. Although this was for overseas shipping they all have set size and weight limits for the different delivery services and they all worked out cheapest in a 2+2 configuration. A local courier maybe slightly cheaper again.
