Question

Got in touch with this company to see if they did it for the new WRX's & Sti's

Finally after 4 weeks they have provided a design and costs, which I have should any body want to have a look

The prices are there too, but when I asked how much for fitting etc, the price is over £700 for a layer of plastic ?

Apparently the local TVR and Porsche dealers have it fitted to their demo cars ?

Anybody had this done and was it worth the money

Yes, had it fitted to my Sti7 prior to picking it up. Armourfends fitter went to my dealer ( Simpsons in Swindon ) and fitted it there.
After the mess the front of my '01 WRX was after 12 months i wanted some form of protection on the car.
After 6 months on the Sti7 i can say it is definately doing it's job. All the parts are custom fit for the specific car model. I had the front fog covers, grille side sets, leading edge of bonnet and front wings, back of mirrors, front spoiler and the side sills covered. Total cost including travelling and fitting was £487.72, i will definately have it on my next car

PCB,

They are quoting £674 for the same spec as you. I'm just not sure its worth paying. I could have the bonnet re painted a few times over . I had a budget of £450 for it and would have gone for it at that. I have heard of other types of guaranteed paint protection for £200 or less and recommended by my local dealer ?

Yes, I had my classic done the front end completely done costs a fair bit but definitely worth it because we all know how sh*te the Subaru paint is!!!!
Steve, its not just the bonnet that gets peppered it's the front spoiler, wing mirrors everything at the front of the car.

Drudders,

Yes I think they did

PCB is right, it should cost far more in the £450 region. You get a discount if you are an SIDC member and IIRC, I paid about £360 for:

Front of Bonnet
Front edge of wings
Front Bumper (including toe hook cover, upper and lower pieces)
Mirrors
Under door handles

(though I took the car to them which knocks the price down a little)

Car is 6 months old and is looking as good as new I have heard from other STi owners of a similar age that they have stone chips and the car is starting to look tatty. I would deffo recommend it

I also spoke to Keith so I'd give him a call and query the price

Nazeing, Herts (which is near Cheshunt and Hoddesdon) and near J25 of the M25, and not far from Hertford.
