I think only from Version 3 onwards.
Could be wrong but think the early shape car (such as my V2) got similar to UK rear lights with orange indicator lens but two reverse lights + no fog light.
Cheers

Can't think why an STI5 would have English style lights unless they have been changed for some reason or by a dealer when shipped over (like the UK 22B's).
Could be wrong but pretty sure I'm not....
Cheers.

All STi recieved the cosmectic changes i.e. Lights, Lens and grill etc in Oct 96'. So this will probably have been changed either in Japan or as you say by a dealer perhaps. Are you looking for an STI V4 or V5

The clear STI clusters don't include a fog lamp, so they won't pass SVA. This means that either a fog light has to be added (by having an extra, separate light or by modifying the cluster), or by replacing the STI red/clear lights with the standard UK type. It's up to the original importer or buyer, so not all cars will be the same.

So, if you see an STI with UK-style lights, it's not a problem. It's just up to you whether having orange indicators bothers you.

A.
