washing/polishing/waxing

for a car with black metallica paint with a few minor stonchips (outer paint chipped off but undercoat seemingly ok) whats the best method:
wash then wax,
wash, polish, then wax or
wash, cutting polish, polish wax
does the polish or cutting polish remove the laquer?
can you use t-cut or a cuting polish on metallic paint?
whats a good brand to use?

Hi m8
Best way is to use 3 part process after washing the car.
Different companies use diff products but theory the same. First step is to use a paint cleaner that will help take out light swirls, oxidised paint etc.
2nd polish to give the shine/wetlook and 3rd wax to seal it.
I use Meguairs 3 stage system but plenty of other good ones out there. You can buy T-cut for metallic finishes but I'd avoid it like the plague.
Cheers
