If 20 people answered and they all said your warranty would still be valid, you'd still want it in writing from IM!

Speak to your local dealer and see what they say. Some will be more stringent than others. I dont think many will turn you down because of just an exhaust but it has been known. Read the thread in this forum about an STI 7 going bang.

Simon.

My dealer (and the one before told me the same)
If you modify your car you lose your warranty.
A possibly short sighted statement by them and one wich you could probably argue (ie - how does a back box invalidate the warranty on your brakes?)

BUT If you put a filter and back box on and your engine lets go you are going to have to prove it WASN't your bits that did it. Not something I would wish to do.

Subaru are renowned for being stubborn so you have to decide whether it is worth it?

cheers

Paul

Edited as P1fanatic beat me to it causing the start of my reply to look silly
