I've got a Terzo............

Has anyone ever had problems with crank seal oil leaks???? Am lead to believe its a common problem and seals are usually changed at same time as Cam belt.....TRUE?????? FALSE???????

Has anyone ever heard of the aluminium cases leaking?????

Anyone know the part numbers for front and rear disc for a Terzo????

Thanks
Nick

Crank seals aren't the best seal known to man and it's not unusual for them to leak, to be fair they do have a tough job!

As for changing them, I think it would be odd to change them with every cam belt, they're not a service item though it is more likely that a faulty one would be noticed during a cambelt change.

No idea about part numbers or price, I shouldn't imagine they'd be more than a tenner, prolly not even a fiver!

The one on my MY95 went about a month AFTER I had the cam belt changed I had to have another belt fitted as the oil had contaminated it. Although it's not a service item, I would recomend that it's changed when the cam belt is, or at least on the second change (90k i think)...

Mine started leaking at 68K but needed a cambelt anyway so killed 2 birds with one stone if you know what i mean? so my advice is if your having a cambelt THEN GET IT DONE cause the seal only costs £5 its the labour that will sting you.

Mine was diagnosed By ScoobySport yesterday. MY95 96Kmiles. I had the cam belt done at 88K (by my local Dealer)

So yes if its high mileage get it done at the same time
