Convince me to get a 01,02 WRX (current vw corrado driver) pics wanted also...
#1
I really like the style of the 01/02 WRX. I am currently driving a 92 Corrado VR6, and I am a Moderator on VWVortex.com I have ownded and worked on nothing but VW's and BMW's. We recently moved and both my parents have AWD and it is nearly impossible for me to get up our driveway where we live with FWD. What should I expect to pay monthly with about 8k down on a 02 WRX loaded. I am from the U.S. also if that makes a difference. I was hoping to get about $249USD a month payments, what do you guys pay as far as monthly insurance, full coverage? Pics would also help convince me, modded of course.
TIA

I hope that picture was there to demonstrate the fact that the 01 WRX is the safest car in it's class

There is a US Subaru site http://www.nasioc.com in which you'll get a much better idea of what it will cost, both to buy and to insure.
The car will be very different to a Corrado,

Thanks Neil, I do realize they are two completely different cars, I am familiar somewhat with them as my mom has owned 7 Subaru's since i can remember.

Check the nasioc site for what's available in the US.
The only real way to convince yourself is to drive one and then compare it. Car reviews and opinions service only to filter your thoughts. In the end it comes down to you and what you choose.
I've driven a corrado(ages ago) and it was very good for a FWD car, with communicative steering and handling. The Subaru is at least 2 leagues above it(IMHO)

I love my corrado to death but for me its a matter of getting something practical that can get me up my driveway in the winter and rain (mud). My mom has a 01 outback and my dad has a 99 Volvo S80 so they both don't have any problem. Now its my turn.
