Question

While we were cleaning our cars today and to our surprise we found out that the PPP back box for a STI Type UK is in fact just the same as a WR Sport back box; the PPP back box merely having a round tail pipe finish, whereas the WR Sport back box has the familiar oval finish. This is confirmed by the fact that both back boxes have identical part numbers
Ie; Prodrive Type/Drg 1085, Part No SE 001 SU.
Further to this, it would appear that the PPP back box was manufactured in 03/02 and the WR Sport back box was manufactured in 09/02.

So, this begs the interesting question Does the same PPP exhaust system fit the WRX, UK300 & WRX STI-Type UK?

FYI; Photos will follow.

I run a Scorpion Back box on my UK300 which is the same as the Prodrive back box except mine is oval not round.

I am told reliably that Scorpion make the Prodrive back box anyway

Jools,

what were you doing with the exhausts off the cars if you were just cleaning tem. Sounds a little bit thorough to me

Nice to see from the photos, that it looks like you even laid them on a quilt, to save them getting damaged

You know how it is John, what with IM being so strict with the warranty issues these days; you can’t keep these cars clean enough We also de-greased the engine bays on the other two cars, so they all look good now.

$hit, does this mean the warranty will be void...Hmmmm
