I have a MY96 UK Turbo and the Lambda sensor is on the down pipe just behind the intercooler. They can be a real git to get off so make sure you use plenty of DW40.
Cheers.

im confused as to why a load of people seem to be removing lamda sensors from decats and blanking the holes off. Surely this totally ****s the fueling up?

Thats a temperature sensor. If you connect it the wrong way round, the "overheating" light comes on. It doesn't have to be connected by the way..
