STOLEN Evo 6 RS SPRINT
#1
Evo 6 RS Sprint stolen on 2/1/2003 from Birmingham airport Reg: V183 POB. VIN: JMYSNCP9A 000684.
It's white, has a small scratch on right side of bonnet and small dent on rear drivers side door. Fitted with white 17" Speedline GT1 alloys with standard Yokohoma Evo 7 tyres (A046 I think).
Has Leda adjustable height & dampers front and rear. HKS pillow ball front top mounts(purple), OMP front (silver) and rear (yellow) strut braces.
Drivers seat is black OMP RS fibreglass seat with Luke 4 point harness.
Boot is full of my clothes and Christmas presents - B$%*&£ds.
Nothing on show in the car, glove box open, front of stereo removed and I still have it as I took it with me. At least they can't use it but it's not much good to me other than the knowledge that they can't sell the stereo.
If you know of any parts or the complete car going for sale or any information about this then please phone West Midlands police on 0121 712 6150 and speak to PC Fraser or Drewitt.
Any help is much appreciated, it's not a good way to start the new year.
For everybodies information it was fitted with cat. 1 alarm / immobiliser and a disklock.

How did the *******s get it out of the car park without a ticket? Were u in the long stay car park? They all have video surveilance on the entrance/exit (down south they do). If they paid maybe they were stupid enough to use their own credit card - it sounds as if this was an inside job to me though.
At least your insurance should pay out- not much comfort but next time get a tracker fitted. Would have one myself but I don't live in England. Again my sympathies to you and a pox on those scumbags that nicked your pride and joy

My E28 M5, some years before I bought it and when it was only about a year old, was broken into and mauled in an abortive theft at Manchester airport.
It seems that putting a late-model hi-performance toy into an airport carpark and flying away from it, is *not* a good idea! I'd have used our runabout and left the Mitsu in its garage.

sorry to hear about your car, im afraid to say it tho, peops with nice motors like this are mugs when they dont fit a tracker. Not prob what u wanna hear m8, but im afraid to say its the world we live in. I have a disclok, wheel clamp and a tracker along with the std factory defences, and even i hate parking it anywhere.

It was a park the car yourself type car park. I wouldn't trust someone else to park it for me - they might trash it from cold and switch the engine off without letting the turbo cool. It had been parked there a number of times before without a problem (where have you heard that before)
I suspect that a tracker would not have been useful - if they have the specialist knowledge to get round a professionally installed cat 1 alarm/immobiliser then I think that a tracker would have also been disabled. Also it wouldn't have been activated until 3 days after the car was removed - I don't think thay can be used to track where you have been?
The police apparently have a couple of leads to follow up but I don't want to say more at the moment but they aren't hopeful.

depends on what tracking system you use. AFAIK there are systems that operate straight away without u having to call up. And in any case having a system like that is better than having nothing at all. Not saying u would have recovered your car if u had one fitted, but the chances are always stacked in your favour if u have one fitted.
