Yes,
we've had an e-mail offering it to club members for sale.
"The best and rarest 22B,prototype model, hence chassis number 000,
there where 3 prototypes, which went to Colin Mcrae,Nicky Grist and David Lapworth in 1999,so very famous current owner.Car has had lots of mods, no expense spared on this toy.18 inch wheels, latest Brembo brakes all round, adjustable suspension, long stroke all steel Martin Spirral engine with Dyno 372bhp,Possume Bourne ECU etc etc.
Only 2000km with all these mods above plus more details available.
So this is the car to have all the Motorsport History, as being the first 22B road car ever built and has the famous owner."

Nicks Subaru 22B for sale
(28/11/2002 00:21:05)
Nick has decided to sell his own personal 22B. For all the Subaru fans out there there is no need to explain which model this is, but for those that do not know I will explain.
The 22B was first WRC car that Subaru rallied, a wide body 2 door shell painted in the typical rallycar blue, with a large front airdam and larger rear spoiler there were just 425 of this road model produced and all are individually numbered, of which Nicks was one of the very first, actually one of the prototype cars numbered "000".
Probably one of the best looking cars you will see on the road. It has a highly modified with an all steel 2.2ltr engine, programmable computer, competition exhaust manifold and producing 372 bhp with torque to match.
Upgraded large Brembo brakes front and rear, adjustable dampers and 18 inch OZ rims are a number of parts already changed.
This is a one off collectors item as you can imagine with a good history. Pictures can be seen in the next edition of Rally XS.

I remember seeing the 22b at the NEC Motorshow and thinking,
"bloody jap crap, wont catch me driving one of those things!"
Then in 12 months, A WRX and STi plus 15k's worth of mods later and I'm itching to put my name down for a blob-eye
Bloody infectious cars

The engine isn't a 22b engine, it's a stroked EJ20, giving 2.122lt (iirc).
"Possum Bourne ECU" is a "Link" ecu, mapped (iirc by a certain Mr. Rawle........ and IIRC, it actually got circa 350bhp/370ftlbs
Mark.
