Łuck!n6 Christmas Drivers!
#1
Nearly stuffed the car on Christmas day!
Driving out of Woodstock northbound. Solid white lines on the edges of the road and the middle of the road. Golf in front and small silver car in front of that. We are all doing 50 mph with safe gaps between. Without warning the silver car stops! There isnt even any roads off at this point! The Golf hammers the brakes, so do I. I brace myself for impact into the back of the Golf when I noticed there is nothing coming the other way so swerve to avoid the Golf. The silver car then pulls away after a few seconds, then stops again after 400 yards. It then drives past a laybay then dithers very badly at the next junction (where we turn off). Unbelievable driving! I now want to improve the brakes!

ful of sympaphy but a contradiction in your posting
i.e. you were all travelling at a safe distance but you couldn't stop
not being critical as we all do it but it makes you think

I have to agree with you. But it felt like a safe distance until I hit the brakes hard! I have put a posting on the brakes section to see if there is a way to improve the brakes for under Ł400.

Check out http://shop.scoobynet.co.uk/Category...oryName=Brakes. Would recommend new pads, discs and braided hoses on that sort of budget - I'm assuming you've currently got the 2 pots?
