Can anyone enlighten me as to a genuine 0-60 time for a Standard 02' WRX?
Autocar has it at 5.7 which seems a little optomistic...
Topgear mag has it at 6.3 tested, which seems about right...
So if anyone knows of any properly timed 0-60's - please let us know...

EVO tested it as 6.0 and 18.3 to 100
Shame really as the UK MY97 with 208bhp top gear tested did it in 5.2
Thats progress for ya

that 5.2 secs that top gear got, was it with a clutch drop at high revs or a biting point start?

TG Nov 1997 with a standard MY97 UK with 208bhp. It was part of a group test with an Elise, ITR, caterham etc around a track. They posted up the times they achieved with each car. Didnt say exactly how they acheived it, but its well known that the UK classic was around the 5-5.5 second mark in every magazine test performed on it. The PPP version was closer to the 5.0 second mark and the import 280PS classics were closer to 4.5

Autocar results are pretty accurate as they use proper timing gear. I think EVO do to but I'll not lose sleep over 0.3 sec.

my MY02 PPP does 0-60 in 5.4 seconds and top wack 152 mph. That's after 20 minutes standard driving in the dry.
