MY00 Pricing
#1
Sorry for the simple question but I've been out of Scoob ownership for a year or so....
I have the oppurtunity of buying my old car back - it's a MY00 (W) classic shape 5 door in deep blue mica, completely standard, with 37K on the clock. One owner from new (me, but it's a long story) - the car has been well cared for, serviced by a main dealer and is pretty much mint. However it is a Dutch import from Gertjan vd Velde, although I know this shouldn't make much difference in resale value, I guess it might a little bit.
So Parkers are sying £12,380 for an A1 condition UK car - does this sound reasonable? Bear in mind this will be a private sale so that figure may be on the steep side.
Any comments welcome.

The 5 doors dont seem to hold their value quite as much as a 4 door does so i would knock a few hundred quid off it to be honest.
If you can get the owner down to 11.5k i think that would be more of a realistic price, if there are any optional extras (like a/c for instance) then that will add around 500 quid to the value of the car.
The price aint bad but do some serious bartering

Nick, I sold my X Reg MY00 silver saloon 2 weeks ago for £12K.
I collected the car from Gertjan in Aug 2000 & the mileage was only 18K when it was sold. I would offer £11.5k top whack for your car....

I would ring your dealer and ask them how much, cash, they would give for the car - you will get a BIG shock!! I tried it a month ago and got a P/Ex price against a Forester ...... PLEEEEEESE dont ask me on here what they said
Add £750 onto it and you will get it - sorted. Dont even THINK about offering over £9k - thats a hint!!
