called my local subaru dealer for a minor part today for the 22b and was floored by the parts man not knowing what a 22b was ( yes a subaru dealer ) . I put the phone downe and waited ten mins called back and asked to speek to the parts manager . I explained what had hapened on the phone call ten mins ago and he said " i have not herd of a 22b either" ( how the h#ll did these people get there jobs ?) any way i am still short of the part i nead so i think it is time to let my fingers do the walking (yell.com) i am more than willing to name and shame the dealer as i have no dought that the parts dep have not got a scooby doo (minner pun) what theye are doing.

Most car enthusiasts know more about there cars than the dealers who sell them. I wen't along to my dealer to get a Bluetooth phone holder for my 330d and they knew nothing abot,i came back a day later with a print out of the Product Bulletin for it and they spent more time asking me how i got hold of an internal bulletin, as if i was a spy something

Went on a test drive early this year and the dealer told me the WR Sport back box was standard. I told him it wasn't he told me it was. Needless to say I didn't by the car from them. He also drove like a complete muppet on the test drive.

Good point Ian, but i'd like to think that I have a good knowledge about all things that concern my job, so that I don't come across as a plonker when talking to customers, it also allows me to sell more and provide excellent (not good) customer service.
