But hasnt the RB5 got the same flexibility and mid-range torque of a standard my99 ? or prodrive if the PPP is fitted ?
Apart from the solid rear bulkhead and a some extra bits and bobs i cant get my head around whats so special about an RB5 over a standard my99?...apart from its a limited edition

I was this >< close to buying one at one time but my misses didnt like the colour

Question

I'm sure EVO rated the P1 the best of the road going rally cars, beating the RB5, EVO VI, STI etc, so don't know how the RB5 could have won that particular test. I'll have to have a look later.

Has anybody seen the December edition of EVO with tyhe article on RB5 vs UK300 vs P1 vs STi UK? How did they all fare?

Steve IIRC that one was about a year ago. The P1 and RB5 were favoured over the STi, and Evo still say they prefer the P1 and RB5 - eg in this COTY.

That feature was in EVO last december.

IIRC the RB5 was rated the best overall with it's flexibility and mid-range torque.
