DRIVEN NOW CH4

Not everyone who went was a fan of ANY particular car.. Anyone could ask to go on the show, just by going to the web site.
I was obviously biased, as were about 5-6 other people who had put in orders for the car - but so what? There were a lot of other people there!
Oh and I wasn't wearing any RS clothing whatsoever.

Seems a strange combo lesser engined 206GTi, Outgoing Impreza and a new focus...
Still love the 'maxi adventure'
Quite fancy doing something similar myself (though not in a maxi! )

One guy in one shot had an RS jacket on, then when it cut back to him to ask about the RS, he had covered it up with a leather coat over the top..!!! fix..!!
They should of compered it to the MY03 WRX...!!

how gives a s**t what these tv shows think and say i would take my scooby over the focus any day.
not saying the focus is no good but each to there own, lets see when they start tuning them and put 250+bhp thought the front wheels, it has trouble with 212bhp flame suit one.

Let me guess....
As it was driven it was all done on track and no real road test of the car?
Missed most of it but caught the ending, lots of ford owners there by the looks, and what a comparison though, a 206 gti.... well its a little down on power eh! if it would have been the 180 then maybe but it wasnt.... drivel wins again

he talks crap, he says he doesnt like the interior of the focus, which has two tone leather sparco buckets and a carbon fibre centre console, and push button start, and gorgeous dials, so jason what about it didnt u like eh??

Jason Plato and Penny Mallory are obviously member of the RS club as well
Also - we are onto page two of this thread and nobody has mentioned "Fixed Or Repaired Daily" ? Surely that's a record ?

plato didnt say his favorite was the Scooby, he said that he would prefer it as a day to day car..but the rs had somethin special about it...
The RSOC wasnt there... 2 FFOC members there and 1 or 2 FocusRS.net members there...
the rest were either pug or scooby fans...
the focus won fair and square
And the guy who said the focus looks like a normal focus.. Bah! he prefered the scooby...whats the standard Impreza look like?? just the same as the WRX apart from it doesnt have 17s and doesnt have a vent!

I was at the filming and I think there were one or maybe two members of the RS Owners Club.
Other people were wearing FocusRS jackets as someone brought some along before the filming. There were also people there wearing Subaru jackets.
The 206 wasn't supposed to be there. It was meant to be the R32 but they couldn't get it and used this instead. A bit of a shame really because I think the R32 would have been nice to take on the track. Heavy yes, handling suspect - but the engine sounds gorgeous!
To be honest, I can't see how anyone could influence the presenters at all because 90% of the filming was done the day before. Jason was going to go for the Impreza as the 'everyday car' and the Focus for a 'weekend car' but edged towards the Focus in the end when he was forced to make a decision.

I would have had the GTI, its cute, french chic, nice colour, better mpg, cheaper to service (20K intervals), cheaper insurance, doesnt look boy racer ish and 5K cheaper.
BTW does RS stand for Really Subjective

since i havent driven the cossie..rs..whatever they call it till they deliver the 300bhp + awd version they said they were gonna...i cant say which is better...focus has the looks over the wrx, has the look over the sti as well...my sideboard has better looks...but what i have heard is that the focus is motorway designed...fast rep car that gets the skitts and jittery on anything not re-tarmac'd in the last 18months....how would it fair against the sti???..or a classic!!...if im buying on looks..its the focus..anything else..its the scooby..till ford get ther finger out and let us play with the focus...
