1. search can't find anything under oil.

2. Anyway, my car is going in for an oil change on Sat. The dealer tells me they use 10w40 oil. I have a number of prices for buying
the oil myself but don't know which one to go for all 10w40:-

Mobil 1 £24.60
CarlubeRRR £18.99
Castrol RS £23.95

All + VAT for 4 litres

Any other suggestions?

Dealer uses "Total Fina" 10w40.

My preferences when I was running a heavily modified MY99:

Castrol RS (10w60 I think) for the summer months

Mobil 1 Motorsport (not the normal stuff!!) for the winter months

The Mobil 1 is slightly thinner than the Castrol RS, so it warmed up quicker during the colder months.

I use Silkolene Pro S 10W50 the whole year.............

getting my 1k service done tomorrow. car is standard my02 so gonna stick with dealer-reccommended magnatec for now, then change to synth when i get the ppp.
