Before I part with £2000 of my hard earned cash for the PPP (should it ever materialise!) on my UK Sti7 I would like to hear if anyone is less than estatic with the results....rumours abound that it is not quite all it is cracked up to be...a few problems seem to exist.
From what I here a Powerstation full sports catted exhaust system is half the price and produces the same results... or perhaps wait for the Ecotek system.... warranty worry?...blow your engine...swap back the original system smartish and who is the wiser...?by the way no error codes with the cat systems! I am informed.
Any comment

Do you have any warranty? The only reason people go for PPP is to keep their waranty. You can get the same amount of power for much much cheaper with the right kind of mods safely.

I'm looking to get the PPP also. I know it isn't the best bhp/£, but (baby permitting), I intend to keep my Sti for 5 years and the Warrently is important to me. I also figure rightly or wrongly that Prodrive have done a great deal of testing with this product and I don't really want to do this myself with a Tek2, etc..

Slight change of subject, for those who have had it fitted, where did you get it done and how long did you wait from ordering. I'm in Kent, but I don't mind travelling a bit.

Thanks
Gareth.

Gareth.

I'm in Kent, too (Maidstone). I'm No1 on my Dealer's list, and he hasn't had his first PPP delivered. Says it all, really! It's possible that the bigger outfits (Barretts/Lancaster 7oaks)might be quicker - or there again, maybe not! There seems to be a 'modification by component exchange' system for the ECU, with very few ECUs actually in the original buffer stock So "your" ECU won't come until the chap before you has handed his old one back and its been modified!

Must admit, I've e-mailed that Maidstone garage, but (with all due respect to them), I kinda guessed that they might not be big enough. I may try Lancaster ,where I brought my car, or for a change Barrett's.

Thanks
Gareth.

I rode in Mike Woods' development vehicle in April, Gareth!! Blew my socks off - not to mention that he can drive So, you're right to want it ASAP. Elsewhere there's a post to say that a Lancaster 7oaks customer who ordered at the same time as me has only just got his PPP date. Even now, I might have mine fitted before he does?

Regards

Phil

Right then, no more wind ups!

can anyone... Dealers out there... offer me a PPP for my STI7 type U.K. before Christmas
....cash waiting...+ bottle of fizzy stuff + Chocs etc to aid the Christmas spirits!

I will bring the car to you anywhere in the U.K!

email me off the board if you like I will keep veeerrrry quiet if you can help!

Fed up with waiting.....speaking to various people it is obviously a complete lottery out there as to when you get it fitted, when you ordered it does not seem to matter!

Wink

I, and a few others have had Engine check light come on since PPP faults with the rear O2 sensor, new on order. I Don't think it's any more sinister than being hit with a hammer and chiesel to remove and wound in with a pair of mole grips LOL
I had a little gault around Bedford Saturday although taking it easy I was quite impressed, pleased Rolling roads and figures don't make the car John Felsteads Full video I was in front of the Nobel at the start of the lap and I let him passed Two corners from the end after slowing up for a grey car on its run down lap.

Tony

Enjoy its far more controlable car with PPP and WITH Warrentee

I think you'll find every Subaru garage has a waiting list. Just ordered mine, I don't expect to see it until Feb. If I do, i'd eat my socks.....
