ScoobyNetPlus - What would tempt you?
#1
Hi All
If you haven't already signed up for ScoobyNetPlus membership, we want to hear from you.
What would make it worth your 25 squids?
If you didn't know anything about scoobynetplus, please reply here so we know we're not getting the message out.
If you don't know what you get for ScoobyNetPlus membership, tell us here also for the same reason.
Otherwise, if you know what you get, but have a reason why you don't want it.. or you would prefer to see something else for your money, tell us so we can continue to improve the membership to be the best of it's kind available.
All the best
Simon

Until I clear my £4k debts without having to sell my car, am afraid its out of my price range.

In english why should I?
I dont really want to pay 25 quid on the off chance I may get a discount if I choose to buy something..
Why not wait till I do, then see if the discount is worth the £25, then sign up?

don't know much about it, and looking at the discounts, they are ok, but not worth me joining just for the discounts as i wouldn't buy all the stuff on there enough to be what it costs for the 25.
And well i can't be ar$ed to send a cheque in, whilst selling the car soon.

I have to agree about the ability to pay by credit card through the shop.[But I do appreciate that this could be a legal nightmare]
Another thing would be T Shirts,Stickers etc
Finally the "Group Buy" thing needs to be sorted are they allowed are they not there appear to be inconsistancy
But generally 8.5 out of 10

I only joined SIDC to entitle me to the 10% discount come service time. I think if you could get this sort of scheme going when you become a Scoobynet plus member a lot more people would sign up.
This may already be the case but I haven't looked

Without wishing to be rude, I don't do much in the way of mods, so there's very little in the shop that I would want.
Not very constructive I know, but I've just been through the shop, and although there appears to be some good products/prices, I couldn't find anything that I actually wanted.
Consequently, I'd probably delay joining until there was something I needed. Maybe when the STi8 arrives next year.

I think I got caught up in the excitement of the launch of the shop and signed up without thinking.
I actually wish I hadn't bothered, there is nothing in the shop I want!

that concerns me. Your profile says you're from "TSL's workshop" - I assume meaning you spend so much time there. TSL offer the majority of their range on scoobyshop at a discount.
In addition, there have already been two free competitions completed for scoobynetplus members (one for free tickets to the motorshow, the other for free tickets to rally gb + "money can't buy" extras including meeting the subaru world rally team, etc).
We will be trying to give away special passes to the autosport show, and to the british grand prix next year to name just 2 more that we are planning.
In addition to that, the benefits will increase anyway. There will be a members only for sale classified section allowing you to advertise your items for sale and get better exposure. Whenever you post on scoobynet you will then have an "Items for sale" tag under your name (assuming you currently have items for sale).
We will be organising special members only events, and special privillages through our huge array of motorsport contacts (particularly the world rally championship, and british motorsport).
On top of that, you'll get a really nice key ring, membership card, and stickers for your car (they may not be of interest, but they are TOP quality, if they ARE of interest).
If you would like to see other types of products on there (remember, they don't need to be motoring related) let me know and we'll work hard to bring them to you.

A nice credit facility (for stuff above 1k) would be nice to supplement my other "unhealthy" cards.
edit: may i add another suggestion? Having more range of clothes (everyday stuff not only motorsports styles) in the clothing section would be cool. I shop for clothes online a lot as I can't really be bothered to go to the high street and pay rip off prices there.

Does MATTeL not need anything from Scoobyshop, even though TSL offer a lot of products because he has negotiated a better discount face to face with TSL?
I will join eventually, but am skint at the momment!

Either that or he works for them.
If that is not the case, then the impression that is given is very much that!!!!

I don't mean to be pedantic, but 'a members only for sale section' will surely have less viewings than a general public for sale section, as you must have less Plus memebers than registered users?

hi dan
Only members can offer things for sale (or in some sections, only members can do this for free) and the way it will be structured it will get substantially more exposure than the for sale forum as the items for sale will also appear in there (highlighted) as well as in their own classified section.
Then when you add the exposure of having the "items for sale" tag under you name, it is a genuinely powerful medium for selling your "stuff"

Well, online payment of the ScoobyNet Plus joining fee would be good. I have registered, but I can't find my chequebook! lol
if I could have done it via CC, then I would have.

i think the shop is a good idea.
have just joined and will be buying scoobysport grp n + brake kit. gonna get £34 off, so have justified joining.
also, the range will improve i am sure, they have afterall only just set the shop up.
good on SN for the shop!

Si - this may be hard, but there are lots of console and PC gamers on here - any chance of doing something in partnership with Play.com or cd-wow.com?
Cheap games and CD's will get people joining.
Or maybe try having an auction section.

Hi DW
Auction is definitely on the cards to look at soon.. but we may (i suspect) find that we would be better doing a deal with ebay.
game console stuff is a good idea, we'll look in to that definitely.
Which would be the best company to do a deal with?
Credit card payments for membership will be up very shortly

Having just shelled out £728 for 8 x Goodyear F1's, I did look in Scoobyshop first, but there are no tyre deals. It would be nice to see the more everyday stuff in there: tyres, oil filters, etc. etc. for us home servicing types.
Is there a tool section yet? There should be
