Fraid not mate
Didn't drive the car at all yesterday and this morning passed without incident. I bearly got to use boost at all and when I did it whapped round to 1.3 bar..Doh! Will have to turn dawes down!
Now that they are bedded in I had a brake test - my eyeballs are still stuck in the windscreen, but other than that I'm fine

Drove the 'fuel surge' road for the first time today since my incident. I made some good progress round it trying to build up my confidence again but I have to say I was sh1tting myself even though the car was perfectly well behaved and not going that quickly. Its amazing how much a fright like that can knock you

Saxo Boy - is that ' building confidence' a way of admitting driver error, instead of blaming imaginary fuel surge.
RB5320 is right about the brake surge - I've had gearbox fluid surge, coolant surge, diff lube surge and windsreen washer surge - all these have caused me all sorts of slips, skids and spins when reversing out of my drive - good job I dont have an intercooler spray as well

I had a bad accident on a twisty country road just after passing my test, wasnt going fast at all just muppeted into a field somehow
Its actually one of the best roads for driving pleasure in my area but i had never really felt confident on it since then (1997) even though i regularly drive other challenging roads with no problem.
Then last year i was luckily enough to be driving one of my favourite ever cars for a few days and after touring round beds/bucks and northants all day i went for a good drive down the feared old road and while not driving as hard as i could (never do on public roads, guess i was pushing it at about 7-8/10) i wasnt hanging about! That short two mile drive is now probably one of the most satisfying i have ever driven!
Errr i guess i'm trying to say dont leave it as long as me to get your confidence back up, get straight back in the saddle after falling off kinda thing mate !

Sorry guys, I don't want to get into it again. But having driven the road again I still believe it was a combination of fuel surge, bald rears relative to grippy fronts and a drying surface that caused the spin. Please don't debate you won't change my mind.
When you've spun out at 80odd miles per hour it doesn't matter what the cause is you still **** it and it still knocks your confidence. In fact, if it didn't it would show that you feel your invicible and thats how you know your going to get yourself killed.
