<The long-awaited Subaru Impreza WRX STi today made its Australian motor show debut, prior to its local launch in December.

Mr Nick Senior, General Manager, Subaru Australia, said the 195 Kilowatt, 343 Newton metre STi will go on sale at $55,130aus(19,216 UK Pound), with an incomparable specification list in its class.

"The STi is a truly sophisticated car, with not only a fantastic engine, braking system and All-Wheel Drive handling set-up, but other essentials including a comprehensive keypad immobilizer alarm system," said Mr Senior.

The Australian Impreza WRX STi will include front and rear Suretrac limited slip differentials, a close ratio six-speed manual gearbox and 2.0 litre turbo charged variable valve timing Active Valve Control System (AVCS) engine.

It will be available in four colours ¡V premium silver metallic, pure white, blue black mica and WR blue mica.

Impreza WRX STi will be a permanent part of the Subaru range, though available in strictly limited numbers from December, when full technical specifications will be released.
