Plice catching up!!

I got a shock today when I waved at the white Impreza coming the other way down the road. As it approached all was well, but as it got close to me I waved, thinking "not seen that caqr around before", Then I saw the stickers on the side!! Turned out to be what I reckon is Cumbria police's first Impreza! Looked odd with no lights on the roof must have been going to the traffic division nearby. God what a shock!!!!

Can't have anything good for long without the police showing interest! We have unmarked and fully marked up Scoobys in Nottingham. Have flashed the red unmarked one several times in error. Never seem to get any response though. I wonder why! Perhaps they're jealous, I get to drive mine 24-7,365 and it looks better! Rumors have it that cop Scoobys have been to Prodrive, can this be true?

Was talking to the guy who supplies most police forces, all but the add one have Prodrive performance packs, some even have bonnet scoop removed (and intercooler moved) and a sump guard so they can launch over speed bumps!! Marked and unmarked, all colours have been supplied! You have been warned!

Keith,
Have you driven any of the Notts cop Scoobys yet! If so, how do they compare to the T-5s.
I think they have ballast to help improve cornering don't they? By the way, where do you patrol? You may well have seen me from time to time (don't know whether thats good or bad really...)
Also, assuming the force are going to keep Scoobys for a while, do you know anything about the next generation Imprezas? And what other cars did the force consider before choosing the scoob, and why?
Sorry, just a little nosey,
Kevin

I've driven the unmarked one and it's pretty standard. In comparison with the Volvo's, it sticks to the road like the proverbial s*** to a shovel and of course no wheelspin which I find a big problem with the T5's.
As far as I'm aware they're NOT modified.
I work in the northern end of the county most of the time. Can't be doing with second gear round the city all day.
As for keeping them it's usually 100,000 miles and the rumour is we ain't getting anymore
