will discon. battery affect ecu?

i have had the barrier gearbox lock fitted and had to disconnect the battery for 45 min. will this affect the ppp ecu on my 1999 scooby.will it affect anything else? also any one else got the barrier lock? anycomments on it? cheers

I've had one fitted - bit stiff at first but loosened up a bit now - feels well engineered though. My battery was disconnected - deadlock fitted at Waldonway Subaru in Maidstone, Kent. I had no problems apart from the stereo resetting itself. Don't know about any affect on the ECU - my car is a UK 2000 model.
