J Reg Legacy in Local Breakers.
#1
As reported on the Grrrrrr.......... topic, my 17 year old son had a side window smashed and speakers stolen from his Rover Metro two nights ago. Popped into local breakers and quickly got replacement glass for him (he'll be pleased - only a fiver including seal surround on a "remove it yourself" basis - took two minutes to remove).
Nearby was an obviously Stolen/Recovered J reg Legacy which until stolen, appeared a well cared for car. Lifting the bonnet revealed a 99% complete engine and turbo - intercooler - etc. Just one or two minor bits removed already. Appeared well maintained. If any part on this car is of interest to anyone, I can enquire for you.
One point worth mentioning. It was easy to see how entry to the Legacy was gained ... neat tell tale marks ... wont say any more as this day and age, nothing is really safe ...

Can you remember what colour it was and whether the drivers door was damaged?
Do you have the name and address of the scrappy as I may be down that way soon and could pop in.
Many thanks,
Pete.
