Question

Anyone had any experience of Powerflow exhausts? Came across their site today and seem to offer a good product. Custom stainless systems where you can choose the tailpipe design, system bore and loudness for about £260 fitted! (Centre and backbox)

Have never seen or heard of them before, but sounds like a good deal.

Anyone have any knowledge or experience?

Cheers,

MS

Hi Nimbus,

Read the thread, thanks. How did you get on with the system in the end? What is the quality, welding and general appearance like? Also what range of tailpipes were you offered and which one did you go for?

I am always looking for something different and this sounds like it could be quite nice..

Anyone else with any experience, specifically to quality and performance?

Thanks

MS

Martin,
I have a Powerflow on my MY96 wrx-catless mid and backbox in stainless steel custom made on the car with 3'' tail. The quality and burble is superb withoutinterior noise being too intrusive.Very noticeable performance increase as well.Gave the car a new lease of life.I got it made and fitted last october by my local Powerflow franchise for £200 all in.Without a doubt the best 'car' money I ever spent.

These comments are looking promising. I've managed to get the price down to £200 for a back box and centre which I think is blinding. All I have to do now is decide on the tailpipe design and system volume. Do I have a discrete Scoobysport style 3.5" pipe or an in yer face jap style 4.5"?

Any ideas? Is the jap style box a bit Max Power, I quite like it..

The website is;

Martin,

Not had it fitted yet. Got the MOT in a couple of weeks and as I'm looking to go for a centre de-cat I thought I should wait until it's passed. Also looks like I need to buy some new tyers soon so may have to wait a bit longer . Deffinitly going to get one though...

Powerflow are good yes, Website isn't up to much though as they are originally a South African company.

BK Racing's website does give you a list of dealerships in the UK along with telephone numbers so that you can contact the one close to you.

I'll be getting my mid-section done soon, as the centre (between the de-cat and the back box) is still the original Rover one, and all the baffles are away causing a really annoying rattly sound when the air goes through. So straight through, no silencers, mid-section coming up.

Martin,

Where did you get your quote of £200 from, and what model scooby was it for?

I've just called one powerflow dealer and got quoted £399 for a backbox and centre!

If anybody else knows of good (and cheap) places to buy from, please post.

Thanks for the replies so far. Was hoping to get more experience from Scoob use. Am very tempted as the price is so ridiculously cheap, but then this is also what's sending the warning signals. It seems too cheap!

Any more comments..

David,

my quote was from RSR in redhill. They also have a dealer in Croydon too. Good luck, definately worth the cash in my opinion.
