Mark,
Glad you and all others involved are ok. Sorry we weren't there to help, but we went home a different way to you all. I would have panicked if I had come round the corner to see that. Paul just spoke to Phill for the details. Have a few pints tonight to calm the nerves.
Cheers

Contigo,
This was a family run out for lunch at a burger place, not a boys blast run. There were 7 children in this little venture. There was definitely no racing involved, I wouldn't be so stupid as to put my children at risk and I don't think the others would either. It was made clear before we set off that children were present and it would be a steady run.
You can see from the posts that there was a horse and a van stopped in the middle of the road around a tight bend.
So to answer you, no there was no racing involved.
Hope that helps.
Cheers
Tracey

****. Very sobering. Glad all are OK.
Take it easy out there folks - you never know what's around the next corner... This could happen all to easily to me - I know it's a timely reminder to me, as I was, ah, "making progress" this morning at 8AM and did check myself after seeing a horse sign on road. Will check myself even more now...
Thanks for posting, it's served a purpose with me.

Glad no one is hurt.
Been a fast driver for 10 years but always surprises me how much
emphasis is given on 'cross country' ability of cars.
This is not 'have a go at the guy in this thread' but I find it
much safer to drive fast on motorways than on A roads.
So many people take huge risks on A roads which are so much more dangerous as there are so many more variables and blind bends etc.
Lets be careful out there as it gets wetter and slippier.
Scoobies slip and slide too!

Sorry to hear this mate, glad everyone is ok
Pitty it takes an actually picture of a smashed up scooby to make people realise. I had a 14 page battle trying to make that point....oh well, we got there in the end
