Sorry DrJP forgot about your question, was interested in what they had to say as it's our next car. I would have thought they would have given it more, or am I just being biased being a scoob owner(probably ) it bugs me though when they have to compare it to the EVO7, as this is the only car in the Lancer line up, it doesn't have any poorer cousins like just a Lancer Turbo, so it's going to be better, but although the EVO may be £2K dearer and might seem a better package, what about running costs etc, surely the EVO is a lot more expensive to run than the UK300?? But again this is their opinion, and not ours, after all the did say the best driving car was the Z3, but how many drive like that on the public roads, I try, but it hurts my shoulders I just take it with a pinch of salt these days, the amount of crap that the car programmes spout out these days is just tooo much IMHO!

The "feature" about recalls was a waste of time. The program has been dumbed down so much so appeal to spotty oiks that it deserves to be taken off air.
Marks out of ten for VBH,... I'd give her one.

I heard that it IS due for the chop! Can anyone confirm this? It certainly has become tired and lacking inspiration over the last series or two.
whatever you say, its never been the same since Jeremy C. left.
I too cannot see what all the drooling over Vicky Butmy-Brainsgone is all about.

A few reasons actually:-
4500 mile service interval on E7 vs 12000? on UK300
E7 bit more thirsty
At the end of the day you pays yer money and takes yer choice.
Personally I'd go for E7 but then I'm biased.

I thought it was strange that everything she said about the UK300 was complimentary, but then only gave it 7 as it is expensive to run on Super.
Well it is a performance car after all, what do they expect ??
The Evo 7 would cost more to run, and where can you get one for £27k. If you go to Ralliart and get a full 3 yr warranty etc they are £30k.
As for VBH, it is only because she is a chick who likes cars that most blokes fancy her. I would give her 6/10, or 1 depending on the occasion

LOL at Lee P....Maybe we need a VBH forum on here, dedicated purely to the good lady herself. Everyone seems to have an opinion on her....just got me thinking, maybe the poor girl comes on here, I know shes a bit of a Subaru fan. I wonder what she would make of all the comments!.

Well as for vicky BH .... defo need my beer goggles on for that one! and that voice, it would be one of those ten to two-ers, you lads know what i mean, to many beers, get em back home and when youve done the deed you wish they were out of there yesterday! reality becomes to clear once you loose the old muck. Lee P.S my ates got UK300 ppp and likes it alot, sounds good too.

Not a bad review of the UK 300, but the bottom line is, even with the prodrive package it still only returns it to std turbo performance.
I thought Evo mag summed our cars up quite well when they said that for £20,000 you got BMW M3 humbling performance, but once the price of the Subaru/Evo started to reach the icon itself the point was lost.
It just makes the Mk 1 even more incredible value for money.

All-in-all a ****-poor review- from what I saw the car was excellent in all depts apart from fuel consumption- Jeeez- its a 150mph / sub 6-sec to 60 performance car, what do you expect? Then it gets a 7/10
Whats all that about? If it had a BMW badge on it it would be 10/10- kinda confirmed my feelings about TG, its no longer worth the air time it gets.

Well, not a big VBH fan myself, and yes the review was crap as there was no high speed bits, but the one thing they did get right is @ £26,600 the UK300 is too expensive. It is EVO 7 (albeit unoffically, but official ones are sub £30k), and since scooby's are heavier (so consume more fuel) and slower than they were and still have massive insurance costs, it is only the servicing which is going to cost any different in an Evo 7. Also a 330 is almost certainly a 'better alrounder' for the same money...
So TG, crap review, but the right conclusion really!
