Scooby-Doo

Driving home tonight in my MY99 PPP, I pulled up at some lights and then for 3 or 4 seconds there was a deep knocking noise although not that loud inside the car. I hadn't been driving hard at all. I took the car for an extended drive both normal and hard and couldn't replicate the noise. Maybe I was mistaken and it was the car next to me.

Any thoughts would be great.
