Hi,

I am new to the board and a new 2003 WRX owner (in the ole USA). First, thanks to all of you for such a wonderful site and welcoming environment! The information here is priceless. I have two questions that I need help with:
1) I have a Subaru alarm system. I am going to install an Apexi turbo timer using an aftermarket wiring harness for the WRX. Will I have any problems with the alarm going off after setting while the turbo timer is counting down? If yes, what is the fix?
2) I am going to replace the front door component speakers (tweeter and woofer) and the headunit. Where is the Subaru cross-over circuit (i.e., is it in the wiring in the door, in the headunit, under the dash?) for the front speakers and can I reuse it?

Thanks to all of those who have come before me, Keith

PS- Europe gets all the cool cars before the US!!!

Hello............. and welcome to Scoobynet

as for the turbo timer.... I have a Blitz TT and a Subaru/Sigma CAT 1. The alarm will NOT arm whilst the TT is counting down (its a bit like trying to arm the alarm when the keys are in the ignition and engine running)

Hello!

Unfortunatly I have no idea about the answers to the questions - but anything ICE check out the ICE forum, Chairk (check out he's profile) has a wonderful website which will answer any questions about headunits/speakers etc.etc. ...I know this as it's currently printed out and sat next to my sofa - excellent read

Good luck!

Hi Keith. IMHO turbo timers are a waste of time and money, unless you drive around constantly on +ve boost. Save your money and get something more useful.
