Would someone who has access to the latest copy of Glass' guide have a look for me?
This is how much my mum's employer's leasing company want for her to be able to buy the car (having paid £200 + employer's contribution /month for 4yrs).
£6100 seems a lot to me, last time she got a really good deal on buying after leasing - it was actually a touch less than Parker's trade book price. Parkers say £5470 trade with 37000 miles on the clock now.
It's not in great condition (DBM so stone chip city) but sticking to what we know to have been well treated from new would be good.
Many thanks,
Ben

I have been in the motor trade for a few years now and involved with subarus for a while and one thing i would not do is touch a GL. The car itself is not bad but nobody else seems to want them! The car sounds like it is worth about £4000 but she should be cautious buying it when its not going to be worth hardly anything when she comes to sell it. If she loves the car that much then make sure she is going to keep it for a long time to get the value out of it!
Well thats my two pence worth, i hope it is of some use!

Thanks for your reply Mart. Interesting you think only £4k. She's calling the leasing company to try to negotiate today, if she doesn't buy it then it'll go to auction where they certainly wont get close to £6100.
We live in North Wales where the demand for GLs is higher than most of the country I'd imagine. Though I doubt the leasing company take into account where we live.
Thanks again.
