I have negotiated with Bedford a bit of a win-win scenario.

Provided we can get another 15 places they will sell us the day on an "our cost" basis ie we are charging approx £165 per person, so we would pass onto bedford £165 x no. of places sold.

NO MORE BULLSH*T

ALL THE PEOPLE WHO SAID THEY WERE INTERESTED GO TO THE SHOP AND BUY YOUR PLACE NOW !!!!!!

http://shop.sidc.co.uk/index.cfm?cat_id=8

If the places are not sold by friday then it will be cancelled and I will go up in smoke at anyone who says its our fault.

BOOK NOW !!!

Please lets not let this thread get hijacked into the same old argument. For now, how about we say that its imprezas first, if we have not sold enough by tomorrow then we open it up a little.

Please work with us - the preference has to be for 100% imprezas to make it an enjoyable day for all. However commercial pressure may involve a few others to make up places. I would prefer these others to be similarly powered cars, eg Elises, EVOs etc.

Anyone who has already booked on the shop will still have there place.

If you wish to have a refund then please email me direct on lisa@sidc.co.uk.

This includes day passes etc.

I will shortly add additional drivers passes for the day at £25 plus VAT.

Thanks

Lisa

Hi, if I want to come down and spectate, do I need to purchase a pass or something similiar? I noticed someone up above mentioned purchasing one, but all I could find in the sidc shop is the event ticket and a passenger ticket, nothing separate for just spectating.

Any help appreciated....

cheers
Dave

Spectators do not have to pay just turn up on the day.

If you want to be a passenger on the day this will be £10 plus vat or additional driver for £25 plus VAT.

Craig.. I know others might not agree, but the preference has to be for imprezas on a day organised by the SImprezaDC.

Good job and great negotiating mate - thanks!

Can you be explicitly clear about breeds of vehicles allowed please. I ask since you express a preference for Scoobys above, in relation to the guys 'spreading the news' to other marques boards. I totally agree with this, but for THIS troubled event, the goal must be to secure the day, whatever the badge on the back. And considering the stick you have had, I would expect you to express a lack of preference for Scooby owners

Lets hope it gets filled up by Friday!

Gah make up your minds! I've just spent £100 of the £165 I was due to get back on something else now

Still, as a "show" of my committment to this event I shall still keep my place.

If it gets changed again, I'm sending all my issues of True Grip back, selling the Scooby and buying a Bike instead

Yes, preference is for imprezas. Due to scoobynet, some non-imprezas have now booked up. This seems to be OK to me, although I wouldn't want to post it up on rsoc and other boards. Try and keep it in the family so to speak unless commercial pressures dictate otherwise.

If this event turns out to be a shambles due to inconsiderate driving there will most likely be no others. We can limit this by offering track places to club members, previous club members or people on scoobynet who used to be club members / impreza owners. You know where I'm coming from.

Question

The boy Otway did post :

I will be ROFLMAO if it ends up being cancelled anyway, after all the BS that's been posted today.
Why's that then Mark ?

Schadenfreude ?

Are you really interested enough to keep track of the status and you look forward to ROFLYAO, when folks have put a fair effort into something which could go **** up ?

... or are you just being a **** ?

Why's that then Mark? Schadenfreude?
Not at all. More an enjoyment of the delicious irony of the usual bunch of whiners, whingers and moaners slagging off the SIDC and the people who work hard to make it happen, being shown that all their claims about being able to fill the track day easily is a load of rubbish. If, however, the day is filled up, then that's fantastic, and shows that people really are bothered to make the effort.
Are you really interested enough to keep track of the status and you look forward to ROFLYAO, when folks have put a fair effort into something which could go **** up ?
There was no spite in my comment. I just think it would be ironic if after the slating Lee's had over the way the trackday has been handled (which, IMO, couldn't have been done better) the people who claimed to put their money where there mouth was didn't, so-to-speak.
... or are you just being a **** ? ?
Always. But let's let it drop now, this thread's not for muppetising.
