Whenever jonny posts something like this, his car usually ends up going through some sort of weird modification. What will it be this time? NOS?

It certainly isn't the most powerful proven 'Scoob', not by a long shot, but I'm unaware of a any other 2ltrs making more power in the uk.

Adam, what other 2ltrs do you know of surpassing 400?

Is this the one for sale on Scoobynet last week? That was estimated as having 400 bhp.
Is it now proven?

People seem to forget its power at the wheels which is measured on a RR not power at the fly. The power at the fly is software calculated figure which depending on the software version and may be different from RR to RR with the same p@w. Which is why I asked for p@W figures as this the is only one which is important and what you actual put down on the tarmac . Its all guess work really as there are too mny variables involved for accuracy .

LOL! i found that one quite funny (the for sale 400bhp one) as i believe that running an anti lag system on a road car is illegal due to the flames that it produces out of the back, also anti lag will kill a turbo very quickly so no real point in running it and as has been pointed out, which turbo is it running? id know if it was my car (td04) see and no real proof that its predicted 400bhp is real, i would have thought that if it had been set up it would have been set up on a rolling road first and thus given a figure then?

Well just compare his figure against others from the day and no matter what it's still an impressive figure and I'm guessing would translate to pretty good performance on the road

Just because you havent seen it doesnt mean it isnt proven.

Bill gwynnes have a customer witha derestricted wrc engine and running over 450bhp on a 2 litre.

This is dyno confirmed.

Not all people are as vocal as us lot on here, so they arent all heard about.

Dont want to take anything away from harveys achievement though. hat figure is incredible. Well done!

Proven...

Yeah I've seen one of the ones Adam is on about..

Find someone that supply's uprated gearsets for impreza's then ask him what power they are rated to, and then what they can take.

Power is one thing... Torque is another...

I'd say harvey's is most definitely proven at 417BHP, no arguments.

Look at the STI VII figures that ran on the same day, or the evo, or ...

They're all around what you should expect. The STI VII had been run previously, and was within a few bhp. Changes had been made to the air intake.

Nick,

hate to argue but consistency does not equal accuracy.

rolling roads can be off. No question for me thought hat harveys was by far the most powerful, so as I said dont want to take anything away from him.

btw, you won't see any green eyes from me!

There are a lot of big projects going on, am hoping that this kind of power will be common place soon.

David,

what exactly are you talkign about with reference to the torque and sellers of gearsets? am a little lost

Adam, I know there's no green eyes on your part ! I guess the point I'm trying to make is that this is as calibrated as can be for a RR, and to get a figure more accurate you'd have to use some other power measuring method. Power at wheels is really the only thing that should count, but that doesn't really look impressive

The Cusco car has 460@wheels, Toni Regali Racing in Oz has the same amount aswell.

Cheers

Agree with the power at the wheels but we all know that transmission losses take alot of that away so power at the fly should really count to start with, and also there seem to be different measurements of power at the wheels so for consistancy power at the fly should be measured on an AWD car, and Harveys car is still under R&D so it will get better
