Having bought a MY01 UK300 I must admit I was a bit gutted when it was announced that a new version would be on sale from Feb 03. Since then I have enquired about PX for the new STI. However, having since been to the motorshow and have now seen the 03 STI in the flesh, I have to say that I was very disapointed. I never liked the bugeye when it first came out, and only went for the UK300 because the front lights looked so much better. Originally I was after the last of the classic shapes, but the UK300 caught my eye, and I'm glad I bought it. I have now changed my mind about changing for a 03. The scoop is now hugh and OTT, and the rear clusters are not as nice as the bugeyes either. If all it take is to change the front lights on the bugeyes, I can't see many bugeye owners changing to the MY03.
Does anyone else think that the 03 is not all that it was cracked up to be?

Most people think the MY03 is a vast improvement over the bugeye. I'm still not convinced although might change my opinion once I've seen one in the flesh.

Didn't like bugeye initially but grew on me once I'd seen one.

The headlights on the MY03 still arn't great, prefer the prodrive/morette option and the rear spoiler is still rubish also.

I wanted a UK300 initially but couldn't afford the extra cash, stumped up for a MY01 PPP with prodrive headlights and now added Rallytech Spoiler and I love it.

Wont be changing to an MY03, I think a proper change is hapening in 2005 (someone correct me if I'm wrong) so will wait till then.

Having seen the new Impreza at the motorshow at the weekend, I will be keeping my 02 with headlight change. I did go to the Mitsi stand and have a look at the yellow Evo VII FQ 300. hmmmm

I broke the seat in the Evo.

I slid it forward a bit to get a comfortable position. Then when i went to slide it back to get out it died. Wouldnt go back or forward. Left the bloke looking at it

The power of the mitsi's are awesome, but the designs are getting worse and worse. I prefer the shape of MY01 UK300 to the new mitsi. I suppose it is all about preference, but that huge scoop on MY03 is just off putting.

FQ300 - really? Have you sat in on? I thought the seating position was horrible, the seat unsupportive. The dash was the blandest and cheepest thing ever. The steering wheel disrupted the dials too much and the handbrake got in the way, for me when trying to shift gear. Also with the seat in the right position for my arms my legs we to close to the pedels...

Sorry but I couldn't drive he thing for the amount of pain I was in by the end of it...
