Question

As Opitmax is now readily available, any stories of increased power in a notice-able way ?

Or better still, in a measured way, eg anyone done a rolling road test before and after ??

And any advice/comments on re-mapping etc, and any detremental effects. I've heard oil changes should be done frequently, due to the 'detergant' action in the fuel.

Any comments (or links ?

I'm collating some figures before and after based on my standard MY00, using 95 UL before, and Optimax afterwards. Measuring it using a GTech accelerometer's bhp function.

Not exactly hugely scientific, but may be interesting. Currently showing an average bhp at the wheels of 182, which sounds about right based on 218bhp quoted and 15% tranmission loss. This is with BP 95 RON UL. I'm filling up with the first tank of Optimax on the way home tonight, so will do readings over the next couple of tanks to see if the ECU adapts and it makes any difference...
