Went to the Motorshow today and saw the new Scoobie.

Yes it looks better, but that scoop on the STI is UGLY IMHO. Not the worlds best improvement. Liked the new steering wheel and new look stereo (bet is sounds as crap though).

Be interesting to see what they price it at.

Must be geeting old as I would of liked to see the Legacy STI for sale.

Jonathan

Question

Chins, were the scoops for the STI and WRX the same, or different (ie was the STI one bigger)?

Not putting your money down then?

Money staying in my pocket at the moment/deposit down on the R32. The scoop is smaller on the WRX.

Cool

Now me, I AM old, but I'd like to see a Justy STi, or the Impreza with the flat 6, Turbocharged, and with a 6 speed, manual!

Yep I saw it today too. It looks ok, much like the STI (bug eye) looks ok, but that scoop is hideous..... IMHO it's not the revelation that eveyone thinks it is, for that it would need PPP power as standard, under the skin and inside it's the same as the bug eye to me...

Too many other cars are catching up now, this may sound strange but I find the SMART roadster/Mazda RX8/Nissan 350Z more interesting - at least they are doing something a little different.

I left the motorshow wondering if my current car will be my last Scoob (STi Type UK)

Well I had a good look at the STi 8 and think it looks great. I'm going to have a chat with Adams this weekend.

BUT the Mazda RX8 looked VERY NICE.

I saw the new STi8 today as well. Not sure at all, and that scoop is just HUGE (and ugly)

I was quite happy sitting in it, twiddling my *****, when a very rude man knocked on the window and gave me wave- coffee bean shakey style. Nice to meet you Mr Bird, hopefully you'll be driving a new set of wheels at Bedford

PS new car looks **** but thats only my opinion.
Bonnet scoop looks like they forgot about it till the last minute and the lights look like all the other cars every where. At least the bug eye is original.

Agreed Aaron, a modded bugeye is starting to look better than the latest model. I didn't think Subaru could make an even uglier car, but there you go

The GT2, well that's a real man's car.....do you know any?

I saw the new Scoob at the motorshow yesterday, and I have to say I really liked it. I think it looks good it it's own right - not just "because its a subaru". Admittedly the scoob on the STi is a little too big, but I would only be looking at the standard WRX.

The build quality seems a little better too, although the interior is a little dull compared to what else I looked at.

The Golf R32 is nice, but my mum has a Golf GT TDi and the R32 doesn't seem that much more special. My friend has driven one and says it doesn't really set the world alight.

I think it might be a MY03 for me!

Not impressed with the Racing 32 4x4 Golf. The STi 8 looked much better.

Still gonna wait till I've driven the Mazda8 before I put down a deposite though.

I liked the R32, it looked like it meant business!

I also liked the Mazda RX8, only 1.3 litres though, but 300bhp

I also liked the Bond girls....

Well I suppose the bond girls were the only things that were going to take your eyes off the Vanquish!

The mazda puts out 240 - 250 bhp, but requires 50% less oil and 40% less fuel than the old rotarty unit....hmmm, now if they twin tubo'd it....

Cheers
