Did my 1000 mile service on my new MY02 WRX PPP today. Had a go in an EVO 7 brand new and realised how much quicker it is...but what an awful lumpy ride at low speeds! It simply jerked or stopped and after a while i realised something - the WRX PPP must be one of the best real world fast car compromises on the planet. It's refined on the motorway (i'm an ex Y reg Golf 1.8T driver), docile in traffic, practical space-wise but really extremely quick and handles incredibly well. Less to run and insure than STi and I was HORRIFIED to learn the the EVO 7 has to be serviced every 4500 miles, an oil change costs £250, etc, etc.
