Question

Hi all.

I need to remove the liner from my front near side wheel arch.

There are 3 or 4 cross headed screws but when I try to undo them they just spin.

How the heck do I get them out?

Thanks in advance.

Ian

Hi Ian,
If i remember rightly there are two types of fixings used on the wheelarch liner.
The ones that look like cross headed screws don't unscrew so you need to get something sharp and pointy behind the middle bit and prise it out by about 6 or 7 mm when the whole fixing can be pulled out in one piece.

You will also find another type which just have a plain circle in the middle. With these you need to push the middle section IN by a couple of mm and then withdraw the whole thing.

Be warned though these things are made out of the most brittle plastic known to man and regularly break.

Replacements ( of a much better quality) are available from larger Halfords.

Hope this helps, good luck!
