Although some 6(ish) weeks away, this event is booking up quickly.

If you are thinking of going on this fantastic event, do not leave it till a week or so before hand....IT WILL BE FULLY BOOKED !

Cool

Oooh!

Prehaps my glasses need cleaning but I think from looking at Mr Yellow's bio that he is now representing "SIDC Motorsports" & that would presume to be in an official capacity?

Nice one Chris

Yes indeed - Chris is now the SIDC Motorsports rep, and will be arranging all our track events from now on

Stef resigned from his post as he was unable to commit the amount of time that the role required.

I'm sure you'll all welcome Chris in his new role (to be confirmed officially at the AGM), and offer him support by turning up in large numbers to all the events he organises

Craig - don't think there will be a problem with your "car", as long as it meets the noise regs at Bedford I'm sure Chris will confirm this soon.

I thought there was a statement from Pete Croney that 'SIDC will never allow 500bhp/ton kit cars on their track days'

Thats all right as Craig/Hippy's car won't ever reach that power to weight ratio

It's still all catted and restricted still and only makes 92db @ 4.5k so noise shouldn't be an issue.

It's not 500hp per ton and never will be - you're correct James

I'll wait till Mr King thinks I'm worthy enough to reply to - that's the problem when you give those goddam Northerners power

Chris,

congrats on the new role, I didn't renew my SIDC membership 'cos I thought I wouldn't be welcome at trackdays in my Westfield. If this position has changed please let me know so I can renew.

Here's to lots of Northern track days, Oulton Park, Croft, Cadwell

regards,

greg

In case everyone else forgets, I'd like to say a big Thank-You to Stef for all the hardwork he put into the 'motorsport' side of the SIDC. I'm sure it wasn't (nor is) an easy job but I, for one, was grateful for his efforts.
If 'Mellow' is able to improve on Stef's standards, the SIDC will be very fortunate indeed.

Red face

So does that mean i am still banned from bringing anything half decent? The car i am building right now, and may be ready for Bedford is 630BHP/tonne.

I too would like to add my thanks to Stef.

I'd also remind you that we will have a superb photographer present for the event or, if he doesn't turn up, I'll do it myself.

Sorry peeps, just back from a 2 day stint at Cadwell....

My grateful thanks also go to Stef who I think single handedly was responsible for many of us getting the "bug" and for taking the marque even further on track, having spoken to him recently it'll be great to see him on track enjoying the day in a relaxed mode....( relaxed....did I say relaxed )

Cem, sorry mate no e-mail from you so far, please re-send and I'll reply accordingly

Craig,Greg,.... yes, as SIDC paid up members you're very welcome to come along with your beasties, you guy's can drive very well and the club would have no worries there

Wherea's Mr Felly....erm.... joking mate

Mark, I've mailed Liz @ Bedford with details and she needs to clear it with someone and will confirm soon.

Just booked my place.
That makes two track days in November so far.
This is getting to be a very expensive hobby.
