John,
I'm using Virgin net, and this happens to mw all the time.
additionally, when I try and view postings, I can see the first few, then the remainder will not show up.
I just get this sort of thing,

It is most frustrating, and greatly detracts from the pleasure of viewing the website.
I phoned Virgin on the £1/min help line, who told me that it was not being caused by their sytems or software, but must be caused by the site I am trying to view!!
I can view Virgin and BBC web sites perfectly, as he asked me to try that out.
I too have been hitting alt-refresh, ctrl-refresh, uppercase-refresh, refresh on its own, every blinkin thing, and most of the time it doesn't work.
Also when I post a reply I always get an error page displayed saying unable to view this web page, which is also rather frustrating.
You are not alone.
Cheers MTR

MTR: Yep I keep having the same problem with Virgin.net
I have tried all the settings, F5, CTRL-F5 etc. but I find the only way around it is the 'muppet method' of having several windows open, after posting use a seperate copy of IE5 to open the thread and you should see your reply no problem

I am failing to load the ad at the bottom of the page: ad1.us-pm.statuz.com/adserve.showimage/uk4/RunOfSite@Top .
Could this be related to the problem?

SDB,
I have tried the ? as you suggested, but it doesn't appear to help.
What I find strange though, is prior to my using Libertysurf, I used to use Virgin net on here no problem at all. And it is only sdince my Libertysurf account finished and I have reverted back toi Virgin have I experienced difficulties.
Cheers MTR

The ? after the URL works. It only happens with Tiscali as my ISP not BT internet. When I saw in my email tonight there were several replies to this message the only way I could read them was by going to reply to topic and then reviewing the earlier posts. Then they appeared when I added the ? but not when I used every refresh method known to me. Very puzzling.

Only saw your replies after the email alert. When I reload the page again I only get the first three posts - adding the ? on the end brings up the rest - extremely odd. Is my ISP crap?

Hi Chaps

The ? should definite work.. but it will only work once.. in other words, the next time you go to the same url you might need to put something else on the end as well like ?asfasdf or whatever.
The reason for this is that it request a completely different url that your ISP will not have cached.
I *think* this will be less of an issue on the new software as every page is dynamic, and it may be that these are not cached by the ISPs.
All the best

Not sure if this is related but... In hopping from topic to topic about a quarter of the time I end up with just a blank screen except for top scooby links line at top of page. Sometimes Refresh works, sometimes not. The bottom task bar says I am trying to load some info (a picture)from
