Banshi, what can I say?
You have excelled beyond belief organising this
Many, many, many thanks to yourself and all of the other organisers who put in so much hard work to make it a complete success
I enjoyed myself thoroughly, shame it ended so soon I was really into it
Great to meet the usual suspects
Thanks to:
Banshi and his fantastic team
CharlieWhiskey for whisking me up there late notice!!!
Amanda for letting me SQUEEZE into her rally suit and shoes
John Felstead for the loan of the helmet.
Rich for moral support, drinks, general ear bashing and ride home
And anyone I have missed
Those of you who didn't come to spectate? You missed an AWESOME night
Time for you sponsors to cough up now Piccies I am sure will be on their way of my super beige Nova machine complete with LMW (tm) and Scoobabe (tm) grafitti........er I mean spraying on of sponsors
I am absolutely knackered!!! But have had a great time.
Thanks again

Traffic was really sh1te on the A556, loads of tailbacks for some reason wierd......
Was just moderate to heavy, but moving rapidly on the motorway after that.
I don't think the mobile he is using is on, so it may be futile giving him a call

Just to echo everyones thoughts, it was a fantastic night, and big thanks to all that organised the event, most notably Barry and Shirley, Mark and his bro, Craft and Heather, Bob T, and MTR (and kids). I will have missed someone out so sorry, but those are the ones I remember
It was a fantastic night, and really good to meet up with everyone.
All I can say is, if anyone gets a chance to go banger racing...do it. Though I agree with Chelle, aching a bit today. Might be due to me running into someone

Well it came together in the end.
There were times during last weekend, this week and up to this weekend that I had misgivings of wether or not Craig,(he of welding fame) his brother Mark (he of fuel tank removal fame, and banger racer) Barry (he's just infamous) myself (i'm just underwhelming)and Bob.T (he's just jinxed), Graham and Heather (sweeps a mean brush, just like me) could actually finish the cars off.
Thanks also to Dream Weaver (web design fame) Steve Chaps (refueler),John Felstead (engine tuner read getting them to run at all), the chap in the Impreza wagon (Barry?) who drove a considerable distance to come and help out on Saturday and Sunday as well as attend the Monday night, and all the other individuals who in some way assisted in the venture.
I had even resorted to using child labour in the evenings during the week and on the last Sunday, much to mummys annoyance, but to the kids delight.
They had a ball ripping bits off the cars, using the socket and wratchet and all th ethings that daddy (me) doesn't normally let them loose with on my cars.
The task seemed just too great, and even up to the day, when Barry was furtively aquiring trailors at 5:30pm I questioned the sanity of the whole venture.
BUT the team did good, the mail got through, sticking plasters in abundance were displayed by many, (leaking on the job), nerves got frayed, and as I was transporting my second car to the venue, and looking forward to seeing them move under their own motive force, it seemed worthwhile.
Also thanks must go to Jap Innovations for the use of their compound for building and storing the cars and the mess and nuisance it must must have created. The fact that Dave from Jap Innovations won the race is not to be cosidered any kind of fix or payback, as if.
For interest I have managed to collect £205 in sponsorship as well, so all in all, a good do.
Cheers MTR

Well I'm glad thats over, would i do it again? Definately It seemed to be an endless task, but it all came good in the end. We both had a fantastic night, enjoyed the racing, the company and the challenge. Big thanks to those who did a bit and those who did a lot. Just glad we're off all this week to recoup and reseal all those leaks!!
As said, huge thanks to Craig and Mark who worked like troopers to get the welding done, and Jap-Innovations for their time, patience, property, and mechanical expertise which was much needed with a couple of the sheds. And lets not forget MTR and his minkies, and BOBT for his Mc'D's trip(yep, just 1!!) and also the use of the disco and trailer, and not forgeting John from(I presumme) Essex, with his endless supply of drill bits for us to blunt and mobile helmet store, BTW John, still got your helmet bag, mail me an address please.
Anyway, hope we raised a few bob, maybe the next one could be powerboat racing, can't be any harder

Just realised, all I ate yesterday was a mcD's bacon and egg muffin, a Galaxy muffin, twix and a piece of galaxy choccy( thanks Heather!), that to me is a mid morning snack.... I think that proves the work that went into prepping the cars
Shameless plug, part two!
Many thanks to,
James of Smith Rhodes Haulage, 01535 633636(Discovery)
Steve of Lateral Design, suspension specialist, 01535 662244(trailer)

Well I'd just like to thank everyone involved on behalf of my family an especially Nick for a simply AWESOME night.
Nick would have loved it. My mum came along and as the bangers ripped round the track, she wept with joy. One of Nick's best pals came too and he really enjoyed himself. My Dad was unfortunately out of the country, so couldn't attend.
So, a BIG, BIG thank you to Barry and Shirley, Jap Innovations (Dave, Andy, Miggy and Gaz and Bernard(for the loan of his yard)), Mark and his brother, Craft and Heather, Bob T, Dream Weaver, Steve F and family, MTR, Chelle, John Felstead, BT Tony, Superslider, Scoobabe, Charlie Whiskey, Avi and all those who took part, raced, turned up to watch etc. etc. etc. (some of you I don't even know your names, but thanks anyway)
I can't think of a more fitting tribute to my brother.
He would have loved it and I'm sure he was somewhere in the crowd cheering you all on
Thank you everyone(sorry if I've forgotten anyone)
Cheers
Rich

Just in case you didn't know this, but Banshi DIDN'T race a car on the night.
They had all been taken.
When he told me to use the second car that I had trailored down, a red Fiesta, arriving at 7:45pm, I assumed he was in one of the other cars.
He also sorted a harness for it, out of the P1's on the car park, (sorry don't remeber your name, but thanks).
I don't think there are many people who would go to so much trouble and WORRY, and then not actually take part in the main event, but allow others to race in his place.
You are a gentleman Barry.
Cheers MTR
