That thread is very sad. Haven't these guys heard of the STIs constantly doing 12 ish seconds on the 1/4 miles? I'm not even going to start with Australia's 10 s WRXs..

True, some of them are talking about superchips if I'm not mistaken. I say good luck to them.

I don't understand what you think is sad?
The guy reckons he can do 8 second quarter miles. Thats pretty amazing if its true.

You have to understand the US horsepower is our times 1.5 and their track times are ours divided by 1.5

Do the math, it works out about right for the figures they brag about. I think their quarter mile is measured on the fantasy scale and their horses are more like shetland ponies.

I like the part where he's running an uprated tmic rather than a FMIC that any good tuner would put in there to keep the temps down
Now im just going to check out one website for some 1/8 mile info

This isnt quite a fair comparison but ill let you look anyway

My93 WRX est impreza - - 8.247 12.875 106.39mph 275bhp
15/09/02 Santa-pod Rob

Not bad for being 90bhp and 150kg's down is it

They're talking about 1/8 miles not 1/4 miles in relation to the 8 second run.

Yup, the 8.274 is the 1/8 mile so i think that most scoobs will be pushing around that anyway due to grip more than anything, but thats americans for you

I'm still confused with this 1/8 mile thing. We all know 1/4 mile is where it at.

We did really crap so lets not talk about our times. My car is nearly identical to Tony's and compare his time to mine.
