UK300 Number plaque
#1
Hi every one, being a newbie this is my first topic. I'm after some advise. Just had my uk300 serviced On Saturday. I asked the dealer to fit my number plaque, as this was forgotten when I first picked the car up. I understand the official home is on the center sun visor above the rear view mirror. My plaque was fixed in the tray in front of the gear lever. I was concerned that if I end up parting with the car in a few years time, enthusiast may question the cars authenticity. Should I more this to its proper home?.

Not sure. Some limited edition Impreza's(the Catalunya for example) have a plaque near the gear lever. I would'nt worry too much, as long as you have the paperwork that proves you are the first owner etc etc you'll be fine.

Nigel, I would'nt worry to much, when I got my car the internal plaque was'nt fitted. The dealer gave me it to fit or not fit as I pleased as he felt it was a bit cheap. Of the other three UK300s I ve been in they were on the back of the tray that you mention. The only one I have seen fitted above the centre visor, is in the mag reports which I did'nt think was a good spot anyway. Just enjoy your car.

Nigel,
Dealer asked me where I wanted to put mine! and I said the same place yours is, as I thought it was a bit tacky on the visor, so I wouldnt worry.
UK300 No. 68 (wonder who got 69??!!)
