Hi all
This afternoon me and my good lady went for a drive in my 96 WRX and were driving at about 35mph when out of nowhere a silver polo just pulled out on me!!! A real brown trouser moment!, but due to the almost unreal handling and grip (wet and slippy roads) i managed to swerve around the VW (thank god nothing was on the other side of the road!) and stop with just a fright!!!
Now this might just sound like another ****e story of how good Subaru's are but the VW driver was an OAP who just looked at me oblivious to the F*@&ing stupid, no sence of speed, needs new glasses, shouldn't be on the road, near miss he just caused!!!
I was so shocked all i could do is drive off!!!
Out of all of what happened, it just confirms how much i need to upgrade to 4 pot brakes as my 2 pots are in a word ****e.
All in all a extreme way to justify spending £500+ to the missus!!

Its these sort of situations that remind you how easy it is to have an accident no matter how safe you yourself are driving.
Glad you and the mrs are ok.
Simon.

i'm with you mate - I had a 'moment' on a country road with 3 colleagues in the car, and it was bloody near miss caused by a divvy in a Mondeo - unknown to them, I was stilling browning my seat as the cars ahead had screeched to a halt and I was thumping the brakes, they still dont know how lucky we all were.
2 pots are terrible. Oh, and I have pagid pads and grooved discs.

Unfortunatly this is happening all the time, some you get away with and some you dont.........
Picture the scene, nice sunny afternoon, had a good day at Oulton Park watching the Superbikes,on your way home. The bike feeling on song.......bang(same scenario)but he didnt come home.
How can "I didnt see him" justify snuffing out a young lads life?
