Question

can you achieve 60 in second gear without over-reving, bearing in mind i'm reffering to a uk my00.
I can get under 6 secs...but seems to struggle towards the end and a gearchange would loose too much time...

I can get just over 70 in 2nd without hitting the rev limiter in my totally standard (performance mod-wise) MY00 Turbo. So yes!

Unhappy

Its the ITG that messes the MAF up so not alot of people run a different setup regarding induction.

Most people on here run a ITG's safe in the knowledge that they are ok but my mate recently removed one and cleaned all the green gunk off the maf sensor. Says the car is running much smoother and sweeter now. I'm going to play safe and always stick with standard filtration. All the decat zorst does is make your car quicker, louder and screw up the environment

Cool

When I was doing 0-60 for REVS shootout, if I held 2nd it would just reach a true 60 before hitting the rev limiter.

For the record, 5.8s for a completely standard MY99 5dr, 2-up running NUL (full tank) with approx 15K miles at the time.

OK for 0-60, no good for standing 1/4 or 500m

i have a MY00 too, reach just under 70mph before hitting the limiter. heres a clip of my 0-60 attempt, came out at 4.3 according to the video clip. but this wasnt allowing for the speedo inaccuracy.

0-60

right click and choose Save as...

peccy (my00 decat)

I'll just verify the fact that when cleaning the MAF it was covered and I mean COVERED in that green ITG spunk.....

From here on in I would now like to be known as 'SiPie the ITG panel filter condemer and Bridgestone SO3 slater'...!!

Seems to be all I ever moan about on here apart from those 'I raced an exorcet missile from the lights and won threads'..

I'll get my coat
