SILLY QUESTION??

Manufactured year is different to 'model year'
I think they were made or released into the UK market in September of the year, so it was (is) necessary to distinguish the MY....something like that

Its model year to signify what model the car is.
For an example a November 1998 impreza could be an MY98 or MY99 .
If it was built in early 1998 and registered new in November 1998 it would be an MY98. The MY normally changes around October time.
They use MY to signify this as the actually manufactured yer made mean two possible models. Easy isnt it .
Cheers
