clicking noise from steering rack?

im getting a clicking sound if i turn the wheel either way with each movement.I was told it might be the steering rack[the car is only 3 years old-1999 uk scooby] i hope it isnt. has anybody had this problem ,wheres the best place for new/reconditioned steering racks or whre shall i go to get it checked to make sure it is the rack! HELP! and cheers

I have a creaking noise that is comming from the steering rack. It isn't the suspension. I jacked the front of the car up on both sides, and can still hear the noise when I turn the wheels. Funny thing about my noise is that it only happens after the car has been drivin a few miles. BTW, my car is a 02 WRX with 5k miles.
