When exactly was the Impreza Facelifted

1997 - P plate. I recall thinking at the time it was a bad move but the old one looks a bit more dated now, and I prefer the facelift.
Wasn't there a slight torque increase at the same time? Then 1998 got the power increase and 16" wheels, with the improved dashboard.

Edited to say - don't know what month, probably Jan 1997 because IM did the new model years on time in those days, but you might find Dec 96 reg'd MY97s.
